Weaving Wananga May 8-10 – Day 3 at EIT – Te Whatukura, Gisborne

Kia ora everbody,

Hope all is well with you all and your taking it easy tonight, like me after a big day at work or wherever you may have been you just want to chill out! But there are plenty more things to prepare for once you have done those daily rituals.

Ka Pai Koe! Good work! Keep it Up! Kia kaha! Unite the forces within… Still lots of work to do… sooo… Ignite the Flame Within.. Reach for the Stars! Wherever you desire to be in your life! Make it your mission to make sure it happens! Be Responsible for Yourself and the choices you make! Or like my good friend Hone used to say, “Own It!” What’s your dream, have Faith and Believe in You! I Believe In You! It all starts with You!

Now for a bit of ‘Queen’ – ‘The Show Must Go On’.                     (Turned up Loud! Lol!)                         Interlude

‘If you don’t believe in Yourself, Nobody else will.’ – A famous quote from somewhere, makes perfect sense.

So, here it is, the final day of our Wananga – Before we start my colleague Erin starts off our programme for the day. Revision of Tikanga and Kupu Hou.

Time to Weave that Dyed Harakeke that was prepared the day before by ladies and added to the pots of  two different colours before hanging them out to dry overnight.

You were all so amazing to work with. Keen to get into it and happy with your achievements over the weekend. Like Erin said to you all before you left: ‘You just learnt two weeks of work in 3 days!’
