Hey there, how u all doin?
Hope you are thawing out well after a cold night/ weekend of winter blues. Its beautiful outside today and lets hope we can get the washing dry today.
What has been happening in your corner of the world. Lots I suppose.. as of lately things have just begun to kick into gear at a pace i don’t mind.. What is the saying..’Good things take time’ – that has been the reminder of lately with lists of work for the year built up and preperation in motion – great things are happening. A bit of time out here and there goes a long way too when your mind is overloaded with ideas and plans to get ahead. Which I did take advantage of some relax time over the weekend – now that overdue projects are finally starting to settle and become finished. Not too long of a break though – there is still much2 do.
One of the things I was up 2 earlier in the week was dyeing some harakeke whenu for my next well overdue project..lol.. it is in progress and is based on the motto ‘Aroha, love and Respect’ – to be put up in an area where learning has been taken back to basics and the farmyard has been included into the overall teaching of a new young generation of infants. Surrounded by nature and animals they are exposed to their natural surroundings – grounded by the beauty and connection to the land. The women who run the centre have a great passion and love for what they do and it shows when you see their centre and converse with them. I hope that it keeps thriving and inspires more people to get back to the basics.
I will leave you with some photos of the boiling process – the fun part – lots of colour, smell, warmth – overall great way to spend the day.
